I was looking over how the Gentoo init system works and was wondering what the purpose of /sbin/runscript is? It's an executable referenced from the runscripts, but it seems that most of the legwork is in /sbin/runscript.sh. What, then, is the purpose of this executable? Does it just pass control off to /sbin/runscript.sh? Where can one find the source for this program?
