Are you prompted for a password? If not, you probably have a bad /etc/pam.d/login. Information about this bug can be found here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29563 . Basically, just move /etc/pam.d/login out of the way and reemerge sys-apps/shadow. Doug -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
