Well, you may not have gnome 2.2 installed but gnome-applets version 2.2.2 may of been left behind. According to the following lines of output from your system it thinks gnome-applets 2.2.2 is installed: > ['gnome-base/gnome-applets', '2.2.2', 'r0'] > ['gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.2.2', 'gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.4.0'] Do an `emerge -p unmerge gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.2.2'. The output will probably look like the following: >>> These are the packages that I would unmerge: gnome-base/gnome-applets selected: 2.2.2 protected: none omitted: 2.4.0 If the output does look like this, your system thinks gnome-applets version 2.2.2 is still installed. If so, remove the '-p' option to the command above to remove it. If the output looks like the following, gnome-applets version 2.2.2 is definitely not installed and something else is amuck: >>> These are the packages that I would unmerge: !!! Couldn't find match for gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.2.2 >>> unmerge: No packages selected for removal. > Steven Elling wrote: > > On Tuesday 14 October 2003 05:32, Sloan Poe wrote: > >>On Mon, 2003-10-13 at 04:52, Mike Williams wrote: > >>>-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > >>>Hash: SHA1 > >>> > >>>On Tuesday 14 October 2003 09:49, SMS WebMaster wrote: > >>>>After upgrading to gnome 2.4 now everytime I emerge any program I got > >>>>at the end : > >>>> > >>>>['gnome-base/gnome-applets', '2.2.2', 'r0'] > >>>>['gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.2.2', 'gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.4.0'] > >>>>!!!
