1. running two emerges in parallel might brake those binaries. 2. you don't get any speedgain from doing it. 3. if you want to speed things up do a 'emerge -f appname1 appname 2' prior to emerging. that will download the sources only and you won't have a delay for downloading. 4. you can run 'emerge appname1 appname2 appname3 appname4 ....' in one command. > Also, is there a difference in specifying a package name by its > fully-qualified name as opposed to just the package name?
