What's in /dev - any entries for the device? If not
check /etc/devfsd.conf and see if you need to uncomment or
add anything.

Create New 'CD/DVD-ROM Device to start 'Properties for
CDROM-Device.desktop'
Under 'Device' tag - could not locate CDBurner
