If someone else has a Mozilla 1.5 machine with this item happening, then I'd suggest they file the bug report.
I see the same thing in my process list, the <defunct> isn't added by gtop, but by top (that ugly ole' thing), and - yes, i'm running Mozilla 1.5. I'm not sure if it's really a Mozilla corpse or if it sneaked in another way..
