My bug report yesterday:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38629

The older bug mine was marked as a duplicate of:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24991

I was a bit concerned that this problem first surfaced many months ago
on 2.5/2.6 kernels (I think) but has now resurfaced on a 2.4.22 type
kernel. That means it hasn't been fixed and leaves me concerned that the
folks who worked on this earlier maybe didn't understand all aspects of
it.

Granted, I'm not on the most recent 2.4.22 kernel, so maybe it's just a
strange revision issue. I don't know. Not that smart...
