To su - verify that you're in the group wheel in /etc/group for hostname problem re-edit /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts.conf If you can repopulate /etc with a backup it should be great for you but if not reedit one by one your /etc files. Don't know what you've done but it seems there's a problem. Verify your CONFIG_PROTECT variable ++ -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
