This one is strange - I had to mask baselayout (among other things) in order
to get this stupid backup package loaded on the system (mondo-rescue and
mindi). Then I go to emerge -uDvt world and get downgrade for baselayout...
so I played with the keywords and unmask files, to no avail...
Then, with the assist of TxRogue on irc (thanks, Tx!) I went back and
checked portage, and _oops_: r1 is gone! r2 is masked for amd64 only, and
the next higher version isn't even hard masked yet!!!
I'm going to keep my package.keywords and unmask as is, and let the update
downgrade baselayout... I saw a couple of places in googling since that said
that r1 was a fluke...

Subject: [gentoo-user] downgrade baselayout

emerge -uDp world says
[ebuild UD] sys-apps/baselayout-1.11.8 [1.11.8-r1]

Any ideas why ?
