Thank you for your help! This problem is resolved.
For the record, I edited the hwclock file, I created the /etc/timezone
file and I symlinked the proper file from zoneinfo directory to
/etc/localtime, and a ntp daemon was installed, as well.

It looks like everything is working fine!
