The point was that not filing a bug because you don't know what the problem is is akin having the check engine light on your car go on but not taking it in to service because you don't know why the check engine light is on. As far as diagnostics. You can provide additional information, if they ask you and tell you how (the same way you would if you were taking your car in). There's really no reason *not* to report something that you know is wrong, in my opinion anyway. Even if it's not enough information to fix it, at least other people are aware that there is a problem.
