Out of curiosity I had a look at that guide, but `$ echo "" | gcc - march=native -v -E - 2>&1 | grep cc1` told me I have an i7 processor. In fact it's an i5, which I think is an i7 without hyperthreading. I decided to leave well alone. Was that too cautious? -- Peter
