Bummer. So why does it show up, when I run "eix -R -3 gcc" if
it's not gentoo eligible?

Do drop me a short message, if there is a  live or 5.1 gcc somewhere.
I'm itching (really bad) to test RDMA on Cephfs with some in-memory
codes, on my gentoo_GPU_linux_cluster_hack.......
