Hi, may a RDQ (real dumb question (tm) ): When I do a emerge -va =qt-4.1.2 I get: solfire:/root>emerge -va "=qt-4.1.2" These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "=qt-4.1.2" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - x11-libs/qt-4.1.2 (masked by: ~x86 keyword) For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook. ...is there any wrong with my system or do I need to update something (I did an "eix-sync" minutes ago...) Thank you very much for your help in advance! :) Keep hacking! mcc > On Wednesday 05 April 2006 04:06, Meino Christian Cramer wrote: > > How can I manage to install qt-4 without cripple the rest of my > > system (qt-3 based) ? > > > > Is there a way of parallel installation/usage ?
