Actually, if it's for you using eclipse (and not many users on the computer using if) I would recommend downloading the latest version from the eclipse web site (it's only a matter of opening a tar file) and installing any plugins you like through their update manager. you'll get much more updated versions without having to play with "/etc/portage/packages.keywords".
