Well, I don't know about that. I haven't tried 250Hz for a long time. Maybe I should so I'd see what it does on my system.

I went 250Hz a long time ago, and it did not hurt me in any way. But I am also
only using vanilla kernels without patches ;)

Whether its patched or vanilla should make no difference in this case.
