The file you want is stored as: /boot/grub/grub.conf on Gentoo systems. You need to edit that file in order to make any changes and grub will read them correctly at the next reboot (you don't need to run any commands as you do with lilo). Paul -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
