I unmerged postgresql 8.0.3 in order to emerge 8.2.x, now when i try to do anything i get the following message:
psql: FATAL: database files are incompatible with server DETAIL: The data directory was initialized by PostgreSQL version 8.2, which is not compatible with this version 8.0.13. i deleted previous /var/lib/postgresql in order to be able to emerge the new version, so i am clueless... does this ring a bell for anyone? as usual, thanks in advance to all sincerely yours Rafael
