What would be the benefit of using an external drive instead of an internal drive? Heat wouldn't be a problem which is good, but it would mean a little extra clutter. Wouldn't it be slower over USB? I'm doing some Blu-Ray ripping/decrypting and it seems like the speed is being limited by I/O.
