Im currently running live versions of both gecko-mediaplayer and gnome-mplayer and largely running without any problems. Do note that the versions in portage are quite old, 0.9.3 is the latest release and you may have problems with sandbox violations using the 0.9.3 ebuilds attached to bugzilla [1], however if your feeling brave the live -9999 ebuilds do work quite well. - Nick [1] http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232036
