Hum. GeoServer + GeoWebCache vs MapServer + TileCache vs MapGuide? Tilecached and not? Sounds good to me? A "past present and future" presentation could be good too, thought I have the impression this year we have a less compelling story, no much new exciting things around, at least in the stable version. We can put together a presentation with stuff like raster symbolizer, mrSID support, new UI, improved security what else? I fear WFS + xlink and WCS 1.1 would be kinda boring...
