At FOSS4G07, the past, present, and future talk was quite well attended, probably by a lot of potential new users rather than those who are already deeply familiar with the project. As such, I think a similar talk would be in order for FOSS4G08, even though there may be less exciting development updates in the last year to talk about.
If Justin or someone else was planning another 'GeoServer and the GeoWeb' like presentation, I would be happy to work them on some GeoServer / GoogleEarth integration examples (unfortunately I won't make it to Cape Town). As I remember from the last FOSS4G, there was quite an impressive crowd reaction when Justin was showing off time templates with GoogleEarth. I think there is good potential to create some 'exciting' demonstrations, along the lines of: http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Tropical+Storm+Tracking+with+PostGIS-GeoServer-GoogleEarth - Tyler aaime wrote: > > Justin Deoliveira ha scritto: >> I think it would be good if we continued the performance benchmarks from >> last year.
