Hi people, on gt2 a proposal that _might_ change lots of code is about to be voted (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/Upgrading+styles).
The proposal is going to provide us quite some goodness in the long term (once we have xml parsers/readers for it and we implement the extensions in the renderer) but may cause some pain in the short term. I think we should push for a GeoTools 2.5.0 release before it lands (what's your opinion about this?). Yet, there are a couple of things that needs doing before we can cut 2.5.0-rc1: - the simple feature speedups (Justin, what's the status on this?) - uDig people want to review the classification functions - Martin wants to review the changes to the referencing modules Hum... well, we cannot speak for other people, but we have to say something from the point of view of our blockers. From where I stand, once the simple feature speedups land we're good to go. What is your opinion?
