Who knows... the tests definitions are in a machine processable format, so there might be a chance to convert them into something feeding a better engine. Besides that, I pretty much agree full engine rewrite is quite the only way forward. Which I heard is something other people were interested into? (I have vague memories of Cubewerx having an interest in that, but I may be wrong).
