That's what I was thinking.

Not to complicate things further, but since the User and Developer Manuals are 
separate Sphinx projects*, we don't actually have a standalone page just for, 
say, 1.7.6.  So that's actually 4 links:

Download HTML
Download PDF
Online User Manual
Online Developer Manual

* That said, it doesn't seem too outlandish to merge these manuals into one 
project eventually.  I haven't really thought through the pros or cons though.
