Are you building on the Jenkins master or an a slave? If the former, what is your servlet container? What JDK, Maven, build platform? What Maven command line and options? Are you building a freestyle project or a maven project? A misconfigured slave might be running something awful like gcj. Or do you have something nasty contaminating your classpath?
