We can move the module to geoserver/community - let me sort out who can do
so and we will send a seperate email asking for community module shortly.
Please note that the geogig module packages up the geogig datastore, but
more importantly adds several configuration screens for managing geogig
repositories. When a geogig datastore is published it is actually providing
a view of single geogig "branch", so you may have several datastores
configured publishing content from different branches.
I do not think we will need to refactor the code, but the module is quite
old and may need to be updated before it is suitable for use with geonode.
