It is a good point Carlo, I was not going to start looking at the data model until the proposal direction was approved (this proposal is being done on the side of the desk by geocat without customer backing so it will be some time in development).
I think the initial data model is very simple, pretty much access to the workspace data model. Prefix, namespace, default, etc… I would expect a second “service” template for the layout of each service block (Advanced, maps, tiles, features, coverages, processes). These would have access to title / abstract etc… What else would you like to see in a data model? What do you mean by “monitoring etc”). Aside: This proposal also has a free marker template for the about page; and I am not sure if that needs a data model.
