Dear all, I would like to propose the addition of the possibility to configure fixed Time/Elevation values on the LayerConfiguration page to use them as Dimension metadata in the capabilities responses. Please consider reviewing the proposal available here <https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/wiki/GSIP-208>. The improvement aims at improving performance of GetCapabilites request since currently multiple queries to the datasource needs to be performed in order to retrieve unique values or MAX and MIN values.
