Hi Jody, thank you for the feedback, this proposal is about the possibility of providing static metadata, not caching. This is needed for use cases where:
- Even computing the min\max\period\list values once is too expensive, for example, a database with 10 billion records. - For data sources where the necessary aggregation operations are not available. Regarding caching, is out of the scope of this proposal, but could indeed be a good future addition. Kind regards, Nuno Oliveira .
