Greetings from a GeoServer newbie -
My question is:
If we access WMS raster imagery (which is in Mercator projection
EPSG:3857) using GeoServer, can we set GS to reproject the imagery into
State Plane GA West NAD83 for use in ArcView 3x?
Then will GS "re-serve" the WMS imagery on demand as a user pans/zooms?
The reason for the query - we're considering subscribing to the new
Bing/DigitalGlobe 30cm imagery via WMS, and have 2 users with ArcView
3x, which can NOT do on-the-fly reprojection. Upgrading them to ArcGIS
9/10 is not an option for us.
The folks at MapSavvy WMS (OnTerra) suggested using a chain service such
as GeoServer.
