Hi Arthur,

Unfortunately the python community module has been superseded by a newer
language agnostic extension that is currently being developed on a separate
feature branch. The hope is to add it as a community module soon at which
time we will make builds avaialble for the current stable 2.2 branch.

So the old python etension is more or less maintained but
still buildable from sources on the 2.1.x branch.
