I know we discussed OpenJDK vs OracleJDK before.
In that discussion I got contradicting replies.
You said to use OracleJDK other saying use OpenJDK.
Because OracleJDK is hard to install for a novice like me I decided to use
OpenJDK.
Reading your response now makes me think I made the wrong decision ;(
I have upgraded my server to 2GB RAM and the performance is a bit better.
Until now I've used GeoServer's preview options to test the layers.
I will first create a small OpenLayers application using my layers and
after that I will set-up yet another server and this time I'll try to
install the latest OracleJDK.
If anybody has some good advice for a novice how to install the latest
stable Oracle Java version please let me know.
