Thanks Jerome. I have installed geoserver and can access it at 
localhost:8080/geoserver/web/
But I am having a heck of a time accessing it at:
http://www.myserver.com:8080/geoserver/web/<http://www.goiddata.com:8080/geoserver/web/>
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Yes, that is what I am running.  I do not have Apache Tomcat installed.
