Hi, well, at the end, raster images are always "rectangles" on disk, being a matrix of "width * height" pixels. Indeed, your image has an alpha band to mask out (making them transparent) the pixels which are outside of the irregular shape you are talking about.
(from gdalinfo: Band 1 Block=1186x13 Type=Byte, ColorInterp=Red *Mask Flags: PER_DATASET ALPHA* Band 2 Block=1186x13 Type=Byte, ColorInterp=Green *Mask Flags: PER_DATASET ALPHA* Band 3 Block=1186x13 Type=Byte, ColorInterp=Blue *Mask Flags: PER_DATASET ALPHA* *Band 4 Block=1186x13 Type=Byte, ColorInterp=Alpha* Cheers, Daniele On Tue, Nov 22, 2016 at 6:52 PM, eting123 <et...@mda.ca> wrote: > Thanks Daniele! > > "The ImageMosaic machinery collects and handles this information by parsing > the GeoTIFF headers and Granules bbox from the DB to apply proper > transformations when rendering to the required target." > > I'm wondering if all the ImageMosaic machinery requires is a bbox, even if > my GeoTIFF is irregularly-shaped and has more than 4 corners?
