Does the area always take longer now or only the first time it is loaded? It
may be rebuilding the cache, so subsequent requests should be faster.

Subject: [Geoserver-users] GeoServer 2.15.1 - WMS GetMap request taking extreme
long time

Hello GeoServer community,

After upgrading GeoServer from 2.14.1 to 2.15.1, I am experiencing extremely
longer time to get valid image from WMS GetMap request.

I am using WMS version 1.1.1, GetMap request and below is the sample request:
[host_url]/geoserver/[workspace]/wms?SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&FORMAT=image%2Fjpeg&TRANSPARENT=true&LAYERS=[layer_name]&exceptions=application%2Fvnd.ogc.se_inimage&SRS=EPSG%3A4326&STYLES=&WIDTH=443&HEIGHT=768&BBOX=28.564453125%2C-67.5%2C106.435546875%2C67.5<https://nites-gis.dev.net:8443/geoserver/imagery/wms?SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&FORMAT=image%2Fjpeg&TRANSPARENT=true&LAYERS=imagery%3AEMETEO.IR.1km&exceptions=application%2Fvnd.ogc.se_inimage&SRS=EPSG%3A4326&STYLES=&WIDTH=443&HEIGHT=768&BBOX=28.564453125%2C-67.5%2C106.435546875%2C67.5>

Any suggestions/ideas how to debug this issue or configuration/settings that
can speed up the process are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
