Hi, Thank you for the clarification.
To fix my past mistakes, I give you the answers : - Yes I am cascading the WMS file : the capabilities URL is https://www.gebco.net/data_and_products/gebco_web_services/web_map_service/mapserv? It is directly slow. I am only hypothesizing that size has something to do with speed. - I noticed my app being slowed down as soon as I replaced the WMS, which is a pity, because it is a really nice base map. Sorry if I confused anybody.
