Hi,
there might be changes to the structure of the data dir between different versions of GeoServer. So I would first upgrade the Windows installation to 2.21.1 and then copy the data dir. I already did this before (between different Windows setups) and can't remember having problems. Best regards Daniel From: celati Laurent <laurent.cel...@gmail.com> Sent: Dienstag, 7. Hello, Thanks. No, I haven't tried anything yet. Before any attempt, I wanted to know the best practice to do this task. I have to migrate a geoserver instance 2.18.1 (windows) to 2.21.1 (Linux Debian). I would like to be able to restore all data if possible (Workspaces, Warehouses, Layers ans styles). FYI, I work with postgresql/postgis tables. What would be good practice to do this? I found this extension in particular: https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/community/backuprestore/index.html Is using this extension recommended for my case ? Thanks a lot. _______________________________________________ Geoserver-users mailing list Please make sure you read the following two resources before posting to this list: - Earning your support instead of buying it, but Ian Turton: http://www.ianturton.com/talks/foss4g.html#/ - The GeoServer user list posting guidelines: http://geoserver.org/comm/userlist-guidelines.html If you want to request a feature or an improvement, also see this: https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/wiki/Successfully-requesting-and-integrating-new-features-and-improvements-in-GeoServer Geoserver-users@lists.sourceforge.net <mailto:Geoserver-users@lists.sourceforge.net> https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/geoserver-users
