I was doing something similar and had to sign the various geotools Jars
that accessed stuff on the HD. Specifically:
myApplet.jar
Gt2-shapefile.jar
Gt2-main.jar
Should we sign Geotools JAR as part of the build process (I mean, can it
be a cause of trouble for some applications?). I can add this step to
the Maven 2 build if desired (but not in Maven 1 build). However, it may
take a few weeks before the Maven 2 build is fully functional.
