Hi list, as I said yesterday at the IRC meeting I am working on merging on trunk the work I did for coverages.
Up to now I have merge the following modules API, MAIN, REFERENCING (thanks Martin), COVERAGE (thanks Martin) RENDERER, SHAPERENDERER. They all compile, build and install. Before committing I ran multiple times mvn install on all the packages and everything compiled, built and installed correctly. I am now going to commit this first bunch of changes hoping to not cause any troubles. I am particularly (and kindly :-) ) asking the various module maintainers to evaluate the impact of these changes and the eventual need for improvements and refactoring. Hopefully this commits will not cause troubles since they are mainly limited on the coverage related packages as well as on rendering. If everything goes fine in a few days I will be able to commit also the improved coverage plugins sending out another email like this one.
