Jody, leaving apart performance and stress tests, why do you want to reduce testing time to 5 seconds? Working against a remote server would take much longer, and besides shapefiles module do take around 1 minute anyways... I mean, getting to 5 seconds for each module would be like trying to split hairs and decide which tests are really important and which aren't....
