I recall the conversation but not the result ... and I in going over  
the road map in jira in order to update the wiki page I did not find  
any information to fill in.

That is good to know; at the moment GeoTools trunk still feels like it  
should hang out and work on QA - and I was not aware of any incoming  
work worth making a new trunk for.  So if we set up a 2.7.x page for  
GeoTools this work can be sloted there? Right now 2.6.x talks about nD  
support - could I just move that paragraph over to 2.7.x.

We are moving the emf stuff out of unsupported so can treat it with a  
bit more respect. The work you are doing is additive in nature so I am  
not sure it it matters to you if it is in a point release (2.6.1) or a  
new 2.7.x...

So let me ask this - what is your schedule, how does it line up with  
the release dates on the table. Do we need to modify or adjust release  
dates to meet your deadlines.
