One clarification though, as you can see from slide number 19 here: http://www.slideshare.net/geosolutions/geosolutions-foss4g-2009-redux what we are trying to achieve is possiblity to handle source of raster data with T and Z can be merely seen as a packs of 2D rasters, we are going after pure 3D cubes (sparse points) that varies over time. Well, actually, we are working with this kind of data, once in a while but for the moment we have not decided to try and model them anyhow beyong simple usage.
