Justin, you mentioned at Monday's meeting that you investigated removing GeoTools' dependency on external (non-JDK) Xerces, but ran into problems in app-schema-resolver, which gets it as a transitive dependency via gt-xsd-core and uses it for schema-validation.
Do you have a patch/branch for the dexercesification of gt-xsd-core? JTS also has a dependency on xercesImpl.
