Thanks Nicolai,
GeoTools has a proposal process for api changes and the like, the next step
for me is putting together a proposal outlining the design choices you made
(such as ServiceRegistry -> FactoryRegistery). As indicated I like the
design choices you have made; we do have to check with the project steering
committee who has a better idea on how downstream projects may (or may not)
be affected.
