Martin you know the most about maven2, are the repos structured differently? Or will the one at dist.codehaus.org work for Mr Diez?

I was not aware of this repository. The directory layout is different in Maven 2 than Maven 1, but Maven 2 can understand Maven 1 repository layout if we instruct it.

According that file dates, it sound like that http://dist.codehaus.org/geotools/gt2/jars/ has not been updated since October 2005, except for the 2.1.1 release. It may be because our CC build is broken since that time.

It sound like that we have many Maven repositories, many Maven reports and many javadoc floating around. Should we try to consolidate them in a single repository (and possibly set the other ones as mirrors)?

That woudl be a good dose of sanity, there are two other factors.
- can we kill our broken CC build (I think James used to run it?)
- geoserver has a new server and may be able to host some builds
- refractions runs a set of nightly builds that are still working (http://udig.refractions.net/nightly/geotools/), no idea where the jars go to live

It seems clear we need two repos:
1. For geotools to build against, best if done on the same machine as nightlight builds to minimize pain and suffering, excludes nightly build results
2. For geotools users to build against, including nightly build results

Cheers,
Jody
