Rendering is the final section of the core library I need to document; and I got tired and busy before getting into the good parts. So based on your feedback thus far: - link to the geoserver xml examples of "good" styles - may it obvious that a parser exists to parse these things I see how I arrived at this problem; I documented Style and Style Layer Descriptor (the xml file format) on different pages so it may of been easy to skip over the relationship between the two.
