Hi all,

Inspired by recent discussions here, I've begun a revision of JMapPane
class and its associated classes on trunk (= 2.6).

If you are using trunk, please be warned that much of the new code
will _not_ be backwards compatible with the current version. In
particular, the setState / getState methods are being removed, to be
replaced by setTool / getTool methods, a new JMapPaneTool interface,
and some basic tool classes for zooming, querying etc. (Jody - I
decided to include this now because I've found it far easier for my
brain than doing partial housekeeping).

I'll do the an initial commit when I have a first cut that has enough
function, docs and demos to be useful: probably Monday (Sydney time).

cheers
Michael
