States, cities, counties, companies and individuals build roads. Shockingly they don't all talk to each other. > Why is the U.S. so full of amateurs? My car doesn't have two honking cameras on the top of it and a server cage in the trunk. However I would hazard a guess that a customized vehicle is cheaper than laser beams and monkey pilots. The mess alone from cleaning up after monkey pilots is pretty pricey, especially when they get a hold of the laser beams. I'll go back to my free TIGER/Line map data now. Why on earth would TeleAtlas, who gets money from selling their maps and apparently can afford having a person driving around cities and country, not have access to engineering drawings of the on- and offramps of every motorway? Why is the U.S. so full of amateurs? How can you build a road (for taxpayers' money, I presume) and then forget where it was, so you must go out and survey its position? -- Lars Aronsson ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Aronsson Datateknik - http://aronsson.se _______________________________________________ Geowanking mailing list [email protected] http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking _______________________________________________ Geowanking mailing list [email protected] http://lists.burri.to/mailman/listinfo/geowanking
