Hello, group!

I've been browsing Google Maps today and I found that the town of
Honningsvåg is labelled as Nordkapp: http://maps.google.com/?z=13&ll=70.978281,25.974941
I checked Yahoo Maps and the situation is the same:
http://maps.yahoo.com/;mvt=m&lon=25.977044&lat=70.979289&mag=4
For a moment I thought they just use the same cartographic data, but
no, the maps are pretty much different, they just happen to contain the
same error. Or do they? I've been there, but maybe I remember it wrong?
Maybe there's no town of Honningsvåg and it really is called Nordkapp?
Maybe they changed the name recently or something? If anyone could
verify/refute my doubts, I'd be most grateful.

Regards,
PB

Yes, my hometown is incorrect.

That place, 'Spelthorne', in the middle of the map? Should be called 'Ashford'. 'Spelthorne' is the name of the local council set up in the 1970s encompassing most of the centre portion of that map. Oddly enough none of the other surrounding local boroughs are named in this way...

Cheers,

A
